Cable operator is a service provider. If he is providing service within state, registration is required after turnover of 20 lakh but if he is providing service outside state, registration is required from rupee 1 of turnover.

Services provided by the cable operator is covered under taxable services, hence GST is attracted to services provided by the cable operator is aggregate turnover is above the exempted limit.

  • But one thing to be considered if he needs a business or current account then what ever may be hus turnover he need to take the registration
  • And business sholud not be operated in savings account due to this reason it makes a business man a compulsion to open a current account and indirectly makes GST compulsory even if the business wont cross the turnover limit which is fixed by the government
