If you forget your username, you can easily recover it through the following steps:

  1. Go to GST portal and make sure website is www.gst.gov.in
  2. Click on Login button on the top right corner

  1. The next page will open. In that page, you will submit your GST Registration Number (GSTIN) or any Provisional ID or UIN if logging in for the first time. Then click on “Generate  OTP”  button.

How To Reset GST Password – Easy Steps

If you forgot your password, you can easily recover it through the following steps:

  1. Go to GST portal and make sure website is www.gst.gov.in
  2. Click on Login button on the top right corner

Enter “New Password” in the given box. Then re-enter the same password. The password should be of 8 to 15 characters which should comprise of at least one number, one special character, one upper case, and one lower case letter. Then click on the submit button.

Login with your Username and Newly created Password. Now, you are able to enter on your GST portal Dashboard. There will be no problem to complete your legal works.

  • Please avoid Password like Yourname@123 or xyz@112233 because they’re easy to crack and which may harm you in case of any Hack attack.

If you already have User-Id And Password But Want To Change Email Id And Mobile Number

If you already have User-Id And Password But Want To Change Email Id And Mobile Number, you can easily do it after logging into your GST Profile and by amending the GST registration. It may take you 5 minutes to do so and after updating It will take 2-3 days by the portal to Verify the same after which you will get all the New OTP’s on newly registered Email ID and mobile number.

In this case, you have to follow the following steps:

  1. Login to GST portal.
  2. Click on “Service” button.
  3. Under the Registration section, click on “Amendment of Registration (Non-core fields)
  4. Then change the phone number and email id of the proprietor.
  5. An OTP will send to your new mobile number and email id.
  6. Provide that OTP and save that section.
  7. After that, you should submit the amendment request.
  8. EVC will send to your new mobile number and email ID.

PLEASE give your mobile number at the time of GST Registration. If your CA, Accountant is filing returns on behalf of you then make sure he’s using it by your consent and is willing to give you Username and Password whenever you need. Make sure either your E-mail or your Mobile number is registered so that If in future you want to go to another consultant then you can change the password very easily because of either your mobile number or Email ID.
